Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our school for your child. Choosing a primary school can be daunting – you may feel a little overwhelmed with information and have lots of questions to ask.
This may be especially true given the current global Covid-19 Pandemic. However, we are a friendly and caring school and we hope to make the process a reassuring as possible for you and your family.
Due to the current restrictions we are very disappointed not be offering our traditional Open Days and Play & Stay Session for prospective families this term. We have always enjoyed and valued these sessions as they provide you with a real insight into life at Hanbury’s Farm – something that is difficult to replicate with virtual tours online.
However, we are excited to be able to offer you the opportunity to book an interactive session with us where you will have the opportunity to talk through the admissions process with the EYFS Team, ask questions along with providing you with a live show around of the Reception Classroom environment. We hope that these online sessions will add a little 'personal touch' despite the current social distancing restrictions.
What we offer...
We have a designated Reception Classroom alongside a spacious and safe outdoor learning areas and all weather canopy. We have adventure playground equipment, Library and designated Forest School area. We value the use of IT and have iPads, Laptops and Netbooks that are used regularly with the children to support and enhance learning.
We use Read, Write Inc. and Power Maths schemes to compliment the practical aspects of the EYFS curriculum. For homework, children have login details for Oxford Owl and Education City. Our learning and achievements are documented using Tapestry - parents also have a log in so that learning can be shared. We use Jasmine - Real PE to support Physical and Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
We offer a Breakfast Club for all of our pupils that starts at 7:30 am at the cost of £4 per session. We can also provide after school care via a free walking bus service to ‘Gabriel’s Angels’. Please see the ‘Community’ link on the drop down menus for more information.
