Early Years Provision
Our Reception Classroom has been specially designed to offer challenging open-ended activities and independent learning opportunities. It is a calm yet challenging environment with open areas to play, explore and investigate.
We have access to sand, water and sensory play in our all weather canopy along with a cosy reading area, a creative zone and role-play area inside. We value the use of IT and have iPads, Laptops and Netbooks that are used regularly by children to support and enhance learning.
Reception have free flow use of the outdoor learning area where they can develop gross motor skills using trikes and scooters and balancing equipment. We enjoy exploring with natural materials, den building and mud kitchens and challenging ourselves in the adventure play area.
We also have a Forest School on site and sessions for Reception will run through the year with our trained Forest School leaders. Extended hours are available via our Tractor Club Wrap Around catering for children between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.
