Free School Meal changes
There have been some recent changes to how Free School Meal entitlements work.
Your child (and their siblings) may be entitled to Pupil Premium Free School Meals (FSM). Families who are eligible for benefit‑related Free School Meals can also access free places through Staffordshire County Council’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme during school holidays. This scheme offers a range of enriching activities alongside a healthy meal, helping children stay active, engaged, and supported outside of term time.
If you receive Universal Credit and your household family income is LESS THAN £7,400 you may be eligible for benefit related pupil premium (FSM) which includes FREE holiday activities.
If you receive Universal Credit but your household family income is MORE THAN £7,400 you may be eligible for FREE SCHOOL MEALS ONLY FOR YOUR CHILD(REN).
You can apply online. Please follow this link to instantly see if you are eligible. Alternatively, school can do the claim on your behalf. We would just need a couple of details from you. Please ask at the school office if you are unsure about this.
