EYFS - Reception
Welcome to Reception!
Our Reception Classroom has been specially designed to offer challenging open-ended activities and independent learning opportunities. It is a calm yet challenging environment with open areas to play, explore and investigate.
We have access to sand, water and sensory play with cosy reading area, creative zone and role play area inside and free flow use of the outdoor learning area where they can develop gross motor skills using trikes and scooters and balancing equipment. We enjoy exploring with natural materials, den building and mud kitchens and challenging ourselves in the adventure play area.
We also have a Forest School on site and sessions for Reception will run throughout out the year with our trained Forest School leaders.
We use Read, Write Inc. and Mastering Number Schemes to compliment the practical aspects of the EYFS Curriculum. Our learning and achievements are documented using Famly - parents also have a log in so that learning can be shared.
